Please note that, within reason, we do not stick rigidly to time, and if we run over the free half hour, you will not be charged.

Payment of our Fees
Lawsons take a flexible and tailored approach to payment of our legal fees.
We will always provide you with a written Terms of Business letter which will set out exactly what we have agreed including the cost involved.
It may be possible to agree a fixed fee plus VAT for certain matters eg conveyancing (buying and selling property), Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney or straight forward debt claims. If you require a fixed fee quote just ask us.
Where a fixed fee is not appropriate we will give you the very best written estimate we can based on the information available, together with details of any other fees eg Court fees or Land Registration fees that you will need to budget for. Court and Land Registry fees do not incur VAT. If our charges are based on an hourly rate then the hourly rate is £255 plus VAT at 20%
At one time (pre-April 2013) Solicitors could enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) with Clients, at no cost to the Client. Due to changes in the Regulations some firms of Solicitors when acting on a CFA now take as much as 25% from Client’s compensation. If we enter into a CFA with you, then we guarantee not to deduct any money from compensation that you receive, we do not take a penny; this is our personal guarantee to all Clients.
Please feel free to talk to us anytime about our fees.
